The Magic Hotel

It is amazing place for budget.the service of breakfast it is so nice and delicious .the staff are incredible every is so helpful. Rooms are clean the cable service is great the web is good too.

Nice place to stay if you have a car. Great access to the 307. A supermarket and mall is about a 3 minute drive away. The hotel and rooms are very basic. Quiet rooms. The elevator didn't work when we stayed there. Staff speaks very little English but are friendly. Breakfast in the morning was disappointing.

Cheap place, good service, clean gym and pool, the breakfast variety isn't huge, but the food is good. Just wish the taxi sites worked with the hotel so cabs wouldn't take so long! The hardest and worst part of Playa del Carmen is trying to get a taxi to pick you up. ): but the hotel is awesome and cheap.

This hotel was a really great value. The breakfast was good as well. They had chilaquiles, scrambled eggs, refried beans, salsas, sweet breads and regular breads for toast. Cereal bar and yogurt and fruit bar. Coffee and tea and Expresso was available for 40 pesos more. The rooms were cold when. We entered but you can adjust the temperature but it took some time to figure it out. You can also request an extra blanket because the bedding is quite thin. Everything was super clean, hot water and water pressure worked amazing. The pool was clean. You can ask for an iron at the desk with a small deposit. Beds were very firm.

Clean, modern, spacious rooms, and even though I thought 1000 pesos for a room was a lot, I guess it's a good deal for Playa del Carmen. The only drawbacks were that the breakfast was just corn flakes, little pan ducles, and fruit slices, and the room was cold with no heat available. Oh and the TV was small. But besides that it was a great place to crash as long as you have transportation because it's not walking distance to any stores or restaurants.

Extremely friendly staff, front desk very good english. Clean and quiet location, only 20min walk or 3min taxi to 5th avenue (main tourist part and bars/nightclub scene) and only 25 min walk/3min + 1min walk to beach front. Only reason not 5* is that although food is very nice and great value for money not much variety of local cuisines. (predominately dishes are spaghetti/lasagna and baguette based) having said that breakfast is brilliant, very similar to continental Europe in that cereal/pastry and fresh fruit available.

The hotel is pretty and modern, the only downside to it is that the restaurant service takes too long to fulfill your order.
